Chief Operating Officer

Curt joined the Palmetto Surgery Center as Chief Operating Officer in December 2019 bringing with him over 20 years of surgical specialty administration experience.  With over 30 years of leadership experience, he is passionate about supporting the surgery center’s care team so that they can deliver “impeccable and impressive care” to the patients we serve. Curt believes that prompt attention to team member and facility needs is essential to workforce satisfaction which results in excellent patient outcomes.

Originally from Vero Beach, Florida, Curt made Columbia, South Carolina his home after his 10-year military service in the United States Army. In his previous role as Administrative Director he managed several surgical practices simultaneously, coached team members to optimize their growth potential, and transitioned large practices into the organization as the project lead.

Curt is responsible for partnering with office and clinical teams to optimize patient scheduling, patient flow, administrative tasks and delivering service excellence. He provides leadership to a team of clinical and business professionals, focused on clinical quality outcomes.   In addition, he ensures that Center's building and equipment are maintained in good working order and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

In his time off, Curt enjoys visiting his home State of Florida and both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
